MANKATO, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings waived tackle Matt Hall and receiver Josh Cooper to make room for a pair of new receivers on the 90-man roster on Friday.
The Vikings announced the additions of receivers Ty Walker and Andy Cruse after the morning walkthrough in which Hall's No. 72 and Cooper's No. 11 were represented on the field.
Cooper's cut comes as a mild surprise as he knew offensive coordinator Norv Turner's offense from his time in Cleveland. Hall was one of the Vikings' crop of undrafted free agents this offseason. First-year head coach Mike Zimmer said one of 90 players didn't pass the pre-camp conditioning test and the player was not practicing on Friday.
Cruse comes from the Houston Texans after spending the 2013 season off/on the practice squad.
Walker was cut when the Green Bay Packers trimmed their roster down to 53 players before last season. He was also released by the Seattle Seahawks two weeks later.
