Win and they're in.
It's that simple for the Minnesota Vikings.
A year after finishing with a 3-13 record, the Vikings will clinch a playoff berth for the first time since the 2009 season next Sunday if they beat the Green Bay Packers at the Metrodome in their regular-season finale.
The Vikings (9-6) put themselves in this position by upsetting the Houston Texans on Sunday and having the New York Giants lose to the Baltimore Ravens.
According to ESPN's Kevin Seifert, the Vikings can clinch a playoff berth even if they don't beat the Packers. But that will take plenty of help from other teams.
If the Vikings don't beat the Packers, they will need the Giants to lose to Philadelphia, have Washington beat Dallas and have Chicago lose to Detroit.
