The Wild ran into more than it can handle Monday night, when it lost 3-0 to the St. Louis Blues. But that wasn't the only loss of the night, as Zach Parise left with a foot injury and is expected to miss 2-3 weeks, the team announed Tuesday.

Every team deals with injuries, but Josh Harding, Niklas Backstrom, Jonas Brodin, Charlie Coyle, Mikael Granlund and others have missed time for the Wild this season.

Here's more from the Wild press release from Mike Doyle announcing the injury:

[Parise] suffered a foot contusion last night against the St. Louis Blues. During the first period, he blocked an Alexander Steen slap shot. He returned for a portion of the second, but left the bench and didn't return.

Tomorrow's game against the Phoenix Coyotes will be the first Parise has missed since signing with Minnesota. The forward has been durable throughout his eight-year career. Outside of missing 69 games with a knee injury in 2010-11, he's missed a total of three games during his other eight NHL seasons.
