The Minnesota Wild has added another veteran -- this time to its coaching staff.

The team announced Rick Wilson, 60, has been hired as an assistant coach.

Wilson spent 16 seasons (1992-93 to 2008-09) with the Minnesota and Dallas Stars before serving as an associate coach last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He also had a stint as the Stars' interim coach in 2002, going 13-11-7, and won a Stanley Cup as an assistant in Dallas in 1999.
