The Minnesota Wild have recalled goalie Matt Hackett, who could start Friday's game at Dallas.

Hackett, 23, is 19-20-3 with a 2.66 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage in 43 games this season for the AHL's Houston Aeros.

He set an NHL record last season for longest shutout streak to start a career at 102:48 but hasn't played for the Wild this season.

To make room on the roster, the Wild assigned forward Jake Dowell to Houston.

With Niklas Backstrom getting a breather on the front end of a back-to-back that continues on Saturday against Los Angeles, Hackett or Darcy Kuemper will start against the Stars.
