Another of the Minnesota Wild's top prospects is about to make his NHL debut.
The Wild on Sunday recalled forward Charlie Coyle from Houston to replace defenseman Jared Spurgeon, who went on injured reserve with the lower-body injury he suffered on Jan. 22.
Coyle, 20, has 14 goals and 10 assists in 44 games this season with the American Hockey League's Houston Aeros.
The 6-foot-2, 222-pound Boston University product was acquired from San Jose in the Brent Burns trade in the summer of 2011. He's in his first professional season.
The Wild visit Phoenix on Monday.
