Mikael Granlund is headed back to the NHL.

The Minnesota Wild announced on Thursday they've recalled the 21-year-old forward from Houston.

Granlund has a goal and five assists in 19 games with the Wild this season and 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 29 games with the Aeros, to whom he was reassigned on March 12.

The Wild are banged up on the front line, with Matt Cullen sidelined by an unspecified injury and Dany Heatley hurt late in Wednesday's loss at San Jose.

They play the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night.
