Wild release preseason schedule, set to open Sept. 17 against Columbus

It's still the heart of summer, but the NHL season is already less than three months away.
The Minnesota Wild released its preseason schedule Wednesday, with a home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sept. 17 set to open the six-game slate. The schedule includes home-and-home series with the Blue Jackets, Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues.
The full regular season schedule won't be unveiled until the NHL firms up its plans for next year's Winter Olympics.
Training camp for the Wild is scheduled to open up on Sept. 11.
