Wild retains defenseman Tyler Cuma by signing him to one-year deal

The Minnesota Wild re-signed defenseman Tyler Cuma to a one-year, two-way contract on Tuesday.
Cuma, 23, had 12 points, including one goal, in 42 games last season with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League. Cuma had two goals and 25 points in 146 career games in the American Hockey League with Houston.
Cuma made his NHL debut with the Wild in 2011-12 appearing in one game against Chicago on April 5, 2012. He was originally selected by the Wild in the first-round (No. 23 overall) of the 2008 draft.
