Wild sign 19-year-old forward Raphael Bussieres to entry-level deal

The Minnesota Wild have signed their second-round pick in last year's NHL entry draft, 19-year-old Canadian forward Raphael Bussieres, to an entry-level contract.

Bussieres has 29 goals, 39 assists, 43 penalty minutes and a plus-27 rating in 60 games this season for Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

"We're very pleased to have Raphael under contract," Wild assistant general manager Brent Flahr said in a statement. "He's had a very good year on a quality team in Baie-Comeau that is competing for the QMJHL Championship. We look forward to seeing him in training camp."

A native of Longueuil, Quebec,, Bussieres stands 6-foot-1 and 197 pounds.
