The Minnesota Wild are going old school. Very old school.

They announced on Wednesday afternoon they've signed 36-year-old defenseman Brett Clark to a one-year contract.

The 13-year veteran has 45 goals, 140 assists and 293 penalty minutes in 681 NHL games over 13 seasons with Montreal, Colorado and Tampa Bay.

The 6-foot, 195-pounder had been playing this season with the AHL's Oklahoma City Barons, posting a plus-seven rating in 18 games. He was with the Lightning last season.

Clark will wear No. 5 with the Wild.

Kuemper reassigned

The Wild also activated goalie Darcy Kuemper off injured reserve and reassigned him to the AHL's Houston Aeros.

Kuemper, 22, was 1-2-0 with a 2.22 goals-against average (GAA) in four games with the Wild.
