The Minnesota Wild continued to add veteran depth on Friday, signing veteran center John Madden to a one-year deal.
Madden, 37, won his third Stanley Cup last season with the Chicago Blackhawks. The 5-11, 190-pounder has 320 points (150 goals, 170 assists) in 791 career games with New Jersey and Chicago.
"It's not every day you can add a three-time Stanley Cup winner to your roster," Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher said in a statement. "Not only does John add depth at the center position, but he also brings character and a winning tradition to the locker room."
