Josh Harding left Thursday night's game at the second intermission with a lower body injury.

Friday, the team announced it had recalled goaltender Johan Gustafsson from the Iowa Wild (Americn Hockey League).

Niklas Backstrom finished Thursday's game, a 3-1 win for the Wild over the Carlina Hurricanes. But losing Harding is a big blow for the Wild if he's out for any length of time. He had played as one of the best goalie's in the NHL after filling in for Backstrom, when the Wild's opening night starter had a knee strain.

The team expects to know more about the extent Harding's injury after Friday's practice.
