The pitching carousel continues to turn for the Minnesota Twins.
With closer Matt Capps likely headed to the disabled list due to continued shoulder soreness, the Twins announced Sunday they will recall left-hander Tyler Robertson from Triple-A Rochester.
Robertson, 24, was converted from starter to reliever last season at Double-A New Britain. In 28 2/3 innings for Rochester this year he owns a 3.77 ERA with 33 strikeouts and 13 walks.
Robertson gives the Twins an extra lefty in a bullpen that has only one other southpaw, Glen Perkins. Brian Duensing will remain in the starting rotation until further notice.
The Twins won't make the move official until doctors look at Capps' shoulder on Monday.
