With Scott Diamond getting ejected early in the Minnesota Twins' 10-6 loss to the Texas Rangers on Thursday night, the Minnesota Twins were once again forced to tax an already overused bullpen.
As a result, the team optioned outfielder Matt Carson to Triple-A Rochester after the game and recalled right-hander Kyle Waldrop.
Carson tallied eight hits in 21 at-bats (.381) with the Twins. Waldrop owns a 3.34 ERA with 16 strikeouts and 13 walks in 35 innings for Rochester.
