The Timberwolves are headed to back to the NBA's Summer League in Las Vegas for the eighth time, the team announced Tuesday.
The Wolves are one of a record 24 teams (23 NBA squads, one team made up of select D-League players) who are slated to participate in the Summer League's 10th year, which is scheduled to run from July 11-21.
Three players from the Wolves' 2013 Summer League squad -- a collection of rookies and free agents -- were on Minnesota's regular roster last season (Gorgui Dieng, Shabazz Muhammad and Robbie Hummel). Othyus Jeffers, who signed a 10-day contract with the Wolves in the final week of the season, also played for Minnesota in Las Vegas last year.
Utah, owners of the fifth overall pick in the upcoming draft, will be making their first Summer League appearance.
