If Minnesota Timberwolves president of basketball operations had any inclination of pairing coaches Bernie and J.B. Bickerstaff together, that notion is out the window.
Wolves assistant J.B. Bickerstaff has accepted an assistant coaching position with the Houston Rockets under coach Kevin McHale, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Per the report, Bickerstaff agreed to the position prior to Kurt Rambis officially being let go.
Update: Kahn said during a press conference Tuesday that J.B. Bickerstaff has spoken with Houston, but is also still in communication with the Timberwolves.
The elder Bickerstaff, Bernie, is currently an assistant with the Portland Trailblazers, but the Wolves were granted permission to interview him for the open coaching position.
