Malcolm Lee won't be joining the Minnesota Timberwolves in Las Vegas after all.

The Wolves set their final NBA Summer League roster on Sunday and it didn't include Lee, a second-round pick last year who played in only 19 games as a rookie following knee surgery in late December.

Instead, Lee will continue to participate in the team's strength and conditioning program. The Wolves "want Lee to be 100% for training camp," the team posted on Twitter. "Reminder: he had surgery in late Dec. Team felt no need to have him play 5 games in 7 days."

The Wolves open summer league play on Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
