In a move so important we forgot to post it for about 24 hours, the Minnesota Timberwolves have waived guard Delonte West.
The Wolves acquired West in the July 26 trade with Cleveland that also brought point guard Sebastian Telfair back to the team.
West reportedly was guaranteed only $500,000 this season, so it was assumed from the time the trade was completed the Wolves would waive him to clear salary-cap space.
