The state would cap its contribution at between $250 and $300 million. No "general fund" money would be used. The Minnesota Twins' position players continued voluntary workouts on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, with Michael Cuddyer, Jim Thome and Jason Kubel among the group taking batting practice. With the wind blowing out to left field, Cuddyer twice hit three consecutive pitches over the fence. Denard Span and Justin Morneau also made their first appearances in Fort Myers on Monday. The first mandatory workout is on Wednesday morning.

Kyle Gibson, the Minnesota Twins' top pitching prospect, threw a bullpen session in Fort Myers, Fla., on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011. Gibson, 23, is one of 19 non-roster invites with the team. He was the Twins' first-round draft pick (22nd overall) in 2009 out of the University of Missouri.

With the Minnesota Vikings planning to host the Chicago Bears on Monday night at TCF Bank Stadium, hundreds of workers descended on the campus facility Wednesday, Dec. 15, to begin the process of removing snow from the field and stands. The Vikings on Tuesday confirmed a 1500ESPN.com report that engineers had determined the Metrodome's collapsed roof could not be fixed in time to host the game.
