The Minnesota Vikings chose to acquire free agent running back Latavius Murray rather than re-sign future Hall of Famer Adrian Peterson.

It appears most NFL teams agree with the Vikings’ assessment that they can do better. Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report is reporting that teams believe Peterson isn’t anywhere close to the player he once was.

Freeman’s report also notes that the Oakland Raiders have shown some interest in Peterson but are also trying to bring Marshawn Lynch out of retirement to join their backfield.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler also reported that teams have passed on meetings with Peterson because of his asking price.

Is it possible Adrian Peterson won’t find a new team?
