Add the Giants to the list of teams requesting to interview Pat Shurmur

Teams with coaching vacancies are lining up to talk with Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.

The Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals have each either requested interviews or have them scheduled for later this week. On Tuesday, ESPN reported that the New York Giants also want to meet with Shurmur.

The Giants fired head coach Ben McAdoo before season’s end following a debacle in which he benched quarterback Eli Manning. They finished with the second worst record in the NFL behind the 0-16 Cleveland Browns.

Shurmur and the 13-3 Vikings ranked 10th in scoring offense despite losing their starting quarterback and running back to injury.
