Report: Vikings deny QBs coach Stefanski chance to interview with Giants

The Minnesota Vikings will not be allowing their quarterbacks coach to join former offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur with the New York Giants.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Kevin Stefanski has been denied permission to interview for the Giants’ open offensive coordinator position.

Stefanski served as the quarterbacks coach in Minnesota this year. He has been with the Vikings’ organization since 2006 working as an assistant to the head coach, assistant quarterbacks coach, tight ends coach and running back’s coach.

Multiple reports stated that Stefanski was a favorite to land the Giants’ OC gig if he were allowed to interview.

The Vikings passed over Stefanski to hired Eagles QBs coach John DiFilippo to replace Shurmur.
